In 2015, we learned of the Sunrise Ascent on Mt. Washington and instantly knew we wanted to be a part of this special event. Sasha is an adventurer at heart, a fearless and inquisitive individual with a deep love of both nature and people. Sasha will soon be 21 years old as she defies expectations of her journey with Sanfilippo Syndrome. Diagnosed at the age of 9, Sanfilippo Syndrome is a rare degenerative genetic condition affecting the central nervous system. As parents, it has been a difficult road witnessing the loss of many skills. Yet Sasha's boundless enthusiasm and joyous spirit make life beyond rich each and every day. For several years Adaptive Sports Partners has infinitely improved Sasha's quality of life by integrating her further into her amazing community and offering her experiences never dreamed possible. Hiking Mt. Washington at Sunrise is one of those extraordinary moments.
