As president of a nonprofit organization that supports outdoor activities for the blind,New England Regional Ski for Light, I have learned first hand how wonderful the work of Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country is at creating opportunities for blind Individuals’ to reach goals of hiking,  tandem biking, rock climbing and kayaking. These opportunities, offer support on many levels. They promote engagement and healthful fitness, and are changing lives in doing so. 

On Sunday August 4th I will join many to climb Mt Washington in  the White Mountains of New Hampshire, on a sunrise hike! We are planning to triumphantly bring awareness to ASPNC good works and join as a community for this amazing outdoor experience. Persons with disabilities as well as fully able-bodied folks are teaming up to do the climb together, supporting one another. I feel so fortunate to join along!
