It will soon be time for my annual climb up Mt. Washington in support of people with disabilities and Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC). This year we will be holding a “Virtual Climb” due to the COVID-19 Pandemic… I hope you will choose to support ASPNC in these especially challenging time.
Martin, an avid outdoors man was diagnosed 17 years ago, at age 32, with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) yet he continues to live life to the fullest. Some of that “living” is done with the support of Adaptive Sports Partners. Each year Martin, and his friends and family, join ASPNC volunteers for hiking, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing. There is not much that is more stressful and joyful (a wild mix) than skiing Martin, but these are some pics of me skiing with Martin a few winters ago.
Martin has described these activities as “food for my soul” and as part of what keeps him going each day.
I ask that you consider supporting my fundraising efforts on his behalf and those of people with disabilities who wish to experience the joy, fulfillment, and accomplishment when participating in sport, recreation, and wellness opportunities.
