There comes a time in one’s life when you take stock in your blessings and reflect on life’s tribulations. My blessings are many and simple. My giving and receiving of love from those group of people you call family, may they be blood or not, is a true blessing. My faith is in believing there is a higher power to act as a guide in my life to find inner peace. And my passion for good health both body and mind, not only for myself, is to promote good health in everyone. But in order to live a fulfilling life one needs purpose and to follow a passion. Recently I’ve become active in an organization call Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC). Our mission is to enhance personal development and self-esteem of people with disabilities through year-round sports and activities.

I was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome at the age of 15. I have felt firsthand the stigma that comes along with this condition and understand the difficulties any person can have with mental or physical challenges. This has compelled me to become a volunteer for ASPNC, to help afford our athletes the opportunity to experience the thrill of accomplishment. On August 5, 2018 I will be volunteering as a “mule” for the “2018 Anthem Sunrise Ascent on Mount Washington”. As a “mule” I will be part of a team to assist one of our athletes, Martin, to help climb the 7.6-mile auto road to the 6,288-foot summit. It is my pleasure to help Martin experience the climb, achievement and beauty of the mountains of New Hampshire. I humbly ask for your donation to help athletes like Martin to accomplish this and many more life affirming experiences.
