Hey Friends!!
Ry & I are once again signed up to make the trek up the big, bad MT Washington!!! Most of you know our passion for the outdoors and helping people of any and all kinds get OUTSIDE!! Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country's mission is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities through outdoor sports and recreation. This AMAZING program is a year round non-profit organization that would not be able to run without donations from amazing people like YOU and it's wonderful staff and LARGE volunteer base!!! If you can donate, even $5...it all adds up and we would greatly appreciate it!!
So a little about the hike- this year we have 11 teams looking to summit MT Wash via the autoroad. These teams of adaptive athletes and volunteers will gather at the base of Mt Washington at 4am (head lamps and all) and begin their amazing, awe-inspiring journies through about 5000ft of elevation. We haven't been able to summit the last 2 years due to gnarly weather...but hey 3rd times a charm right?!?! Ry and I are once again on Team SooSoo and we are DETERMINED to help SooSoo "rock the rockpile" at 6,288ft!!! SooSoo was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myosititis which is a rare, progressive, degenerative, muscle wasting disease. She has been participating in adaptive sports for the last 2 years and man she is QUITE the Cheerleader!! She has been amazing to have as our Team leader and Ry and I have LOVED getting to know her giant catalog of friends and family that make up Team SooSoo!!
All donations help to get athletes like SooSoo outside again at a VERY minimal or zero cost. They help us purchase new equipment needed for killer hiking trips like this (or maybe skiing, biking, kayaking, etc) and they help to keep smiles on the faces of every person who participates in these events!! Ry and I have had SO MANY awesome friends and family support us with this event every year. We SO appreciate it. It truly means more than you know!!
