As many of you know I am very invested in providing outdoor opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Jen and Matt have been involved in Special Olympics for many years. Steve and I strongly support the organization. We have been part of New England Disabled Sports at Loon Mountain for over 20 years. Both of our children learned to ski as a result of the commitment that the coaches and the the program have made. As a result, Matt has joined his dad in becoming a volunteer coach. This year I have decided to undertake a new and exciting commitment. I am a member of a team of “mules that will assist a young lady who I greatly admire during the Ninth Annual Sunrise ascent on Mount Washington (SAMW), scheduled for August 5, 2018. This event will provide funds to help support invaluable opportunities for year-round adaptive sport, recreation, and wellness opportunities for people with disabilities.
