2020 Sunrise Ascent on Mount Washington

The 11th annual Sunrise Ascent on Mount Washington is adapting this year and going virtual! In lieu of our traditional ascent up Mount Washington, athletes and mules will participate in remote activities during the entire month of July. Adaptive Athletes and Mules will log their miles and time doing any activity to contribute to their team totals. Our crazy Executive Director, Thomas Shovlin, has set the goal of reaching 6,288 miles! To help motivate teams to keep active, we’ll have weekly contests and raffle prizes throughout July.

On August 2nd teams will meet at the base of the Mount Washington Auto Road for a car parade celebration! Following social distancing guidelines, we will provide a to-go brunch for each car, as well as some activities to enjoy on the drive up. Stay tuned for some other fun Mount Washington activities to be announced.

This event is the primary fundraiser for ASPNC and sustains the organization throughout the year, allowing our staff and volunteers to carry out the ASPNC mission of enriching the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing year-round opportunities for sports, recreation, and wellness. For this milestone year, the 2020 Ascent, we have set a lofty goal of raising $200,000. Thank you for your consideration in being a part of this amazing event. Your contributions and efforts will help enrich the lives of people of all abilities.
